Education Officer: Mathematics (7-12)
This role plays a pivotal part in enhancing the quality of learning and teaching across our system of schools by supporting them as they develop into Professional Learning Communities.
The key responsibilities include:
* Promoting the Mission of Catholic Education – upholding the dignity of all and strengthening schools as communities of faith and learning.
* Supporting Quality Learning and Teaching – developing educational leadership, implementing contemporary curriculum, and leading professional learning to enhance student outcomes.
* Driving Improvement in Mathematics and Numeracy – leading the Diocesan Learning Hub and building teacher capacity to embed numeracy across all Key Learning Areas.
* Facilitating Teacher Professional Development – designing and delivering evidence-based learning, promoting inquiry and action research, and supporting innovative classroom practice.
* Fostering Collaboration and Partnerships – working with principals, teachers, system leaders, and external partners to strengthen teaching and learning across schools.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a classroom practitioner in Catholic education, demonstrated experience in secondary education with a focus on Mathematics, strong understanding of current research and evidence-based practices in Learning and Teaching, excellent written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to manage workload, show initiative, and work collaboratively within and across teams.
