Here you will be building cloud-based applications, deploying and managing large-scale, complex big data applications using cloud native technologies. You will also be providing in-depth understanding of cloud technologies, automation, and best practices for infrastructure as code (IaC) whilst ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. We are interested in hearing from people who have: Strong software development background using Python, Spark or DBT/SQL Have expertise in data integration, cleansing, modelling, warehousing, and developing pipelines. Pride themselves on AWS technologies, including S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Apache Airflow and IAM roles and permissions Demonstrable hands-on experience in building and running infrastructure in AWS with a proven track record of (IaC) development using Terraform DevOps mindset, with a drive to automate processes and workflows Are knowledgeable of financial markets and, or corporate & institutional lending products Working knowledge of AI/ML and Gen AI applications and how they can enhance engineering processes to improve productivity Tech Skills: We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We do not expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these, or a willing to learn these skillsets (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team! Certified AWS Solution Architect or AWS Data Engineer. Python, Spark or DBT/SQL Solid experience and expertise working with AWS Infrastructure & AWS technologies (S3, Glue, EMR) Source control, and CI/CD tooling with GitHub Actions DevOps tooling and infrastructure management using Terraform, Ansible and Artifactory Experience with containerisation technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes). Proficiency with Observability tooling including Prometheus, Grafana, Observe Experience with Snowflake or Apache Iceberg Experience with developing pipeline workflow using Apache Airflow Knowledge of data mesh technology is desirable.
