An innovative Federal Government Agency is looking to engage an experienced Lead Data Analyst to engage in complex problem-solving and issues management within risk functions. The role requires the Data Analyst to be responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and where required, to represent and negotiate on behalf of the department. The Data Analyst will secure a 12-month contract with the view to extend, based in ACT and flexible working arrangements.
The Data Analyst will be responsible for but not limited to;
* Undertaking day-to-day analytical work and project management
* Supporting reporting development, quality assurance & governance processes
* Analysing data, interpreting trends, utilising problem solving, & connecting analysis and insights
* Presenting the outcomes of work undertaken and tailoring to context across various forums.
* Monitoring and development of a small group of less experienced team members
The Data Analyst will have experience in the following:
* High level data analytics skills, particularly SAS, SQL and similar analytics languages/tools
* Identifying and solving complex data related problems
* Analysing data objectively and making informed decisions
* Ability to communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Experience in fraud analytics
* Strong understanding of statistical techniques and machine learning
