Overview
Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Trade Assistant to join our friendly and results-driven Perth team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will carry out general maintenance and labouring duties across commercial, industrial, and government properties throughout the Perth metro area. You will primarily assist roof plumbing tasks, including roof repairs, flashing installation, guttering work, downpipe replacements, and safe handling of tools and materials at height. You will support government maintenance contracts, attending sites both north and south of the river. A company vehicle will be provided for work travel.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform general maintenance and labouring duties across commercial sites
* Assist roof plumbers as a second person during Working at Heights tasks
* Carry out minor demolition and site preparation works
* Load and unload materials and assist with gutter cleaning and roof maintenance
* Complete job site clean-up and follow site safety procedures
* Participate in the on-call roster when required
Qualifications
* Must be an Australian Citizen
* Minimum 1–2 years' experience as a Trade Assistant or labourer
* Current Driver's Licence
* National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Construction White Card
* Valid Working at Heights Certification
* Basic hand and power tool knowledge
* Ability to work safely at height and follow instructions
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Physically fit and reliable with strong work ethic
* Experience recording job details, materials, and time on an iPad is highly desirable
Preferred Qualifications
* 2+ years' experience in commercial, or government maintenance environments
* Previous experience assisting trades such as roofing, carpentry, or painting
