Senior Software Engineer – OpenText Exstream / StreamServe Developer (EL1 Equivalent) We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (EL1 equivalent) with strong expertise in OpenText Exstream / StreamServe to join a high-performing team delivering enterprise communication solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical development with design thinking to produce high-quality, customer-facing correspondence across print and digital channels. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting scalable document generation solutions, ensuring outputs are secure, accessible, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements. Key Details Location: QLD, ACT, VIC, SA Contract Duration: Initial 12 months Working Arrangement: Hybrid Security Clearance: Baseline required Experience Level: Senior (EL1 equivalent) Key Responsibilities Design, develop, configure, and maintain customer communication solutions using OpenText Exstream and/or StreamServe Translate business and regulatory requirements into structured, dynamic document designs Build and maintain reusable components, templates, scripts, and business rules Integrate document solutions with enterprise systems and output services Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to data, formatting, and performance Support testing activities including unit, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT) Contribute to release management, deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives Maintain technical documentation and design artefacts Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and accessibility standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Technical Skills & Experience 3–5 years of hands-on experience with OpenText Exstream and/or StreamServe Strong background in document generation, template design, and variable data printing Experience with complex data-driven documents (e.g. data sections, dynamic tables) Proficiency in data mapping across formats such as XML, JSON, delimited and columnar files Experience with programming languages such as Java, .NET, JCL, or similar Familiarity with scripting, content authoring, and business rule configuration Exposure to enterprise integration and output management processes What We’re Looking For Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work across both development and document design Experience working in structured delivery environments with testing and release cycles Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Please reach out to me at anna.joseph@hudson.com Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Hudson Hudson is committed to helping you find a workplace where you feel respected, supported, and free to thrive.
