The Role: Reporting directly to our Finance Manager, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting services with a particular focus on job costing, financial analysis, and operational insights. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a hands-on role where your expertise will directly contribute to business growth and efficiency improvements. Key Responsibilities: Manage general ledger and subsidiary ledgers Month-end accounting including reconciliations and journal entries Perform detailed variance analysis between actual and budgeted results, identifying key cost drivers and operational inefficiencies Deliver comprehensive job costing analysis and margin assessments for fabrication projects Collaborate with production and operations teams to monitor costs, inventory usage, and work-in-progress valuations Support budgeting and forecasting processes across the business Assist with capital expenditure analysis and investment appraisals for new equipment Maintain and enhance cost accounting systems tailored to our manufacturing operations Continuously seek improvements to financial systems, reporting tools, and business processes Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls Liaise with external accounting and taxation advisers for statutory reporting requirements Support various accounting functions as needed What We’re Looking For: CPA/CA qualified with a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business. 5 years management accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Strong expertise in cost accounting, inventory management, and project/job costing Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities Outstanding communication skills with the ability to engage non-financial stakeholders Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Highly Regarded: Experience with MYOB Exo Business and MYOB Exo Job Costing Understanding of LEAN Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles What We Offer A supportive, innovative workplace with opportunities for professional growth.
