* Full Time | 9 Day Fortnight | 36 hours
* $2,876.60 - $2,655.98 per fortnight excluding any applicable allowances

About the team

The Utilities Network Maintenance is responsible for the operation, maintenance (planned and unplanned) and assessment of the passive assets associated with drinking water, non-drinking water and sewerage networks, pumping stations, tanks, reservoirs and associated civil and structural facilities.

The branch is responsible for the delivery, under normal conditions, of a continuous supply of safe and reliable drinking water. During emergency situations, Asset Reliability will coordinate the provision of drinking water to critical customers and service areas and will restore services as quickly as possible, when interruptions have occurred.

About the role

Under the direction of the Senior Construction Supervisor:

* Ensure works are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, to meet priorities, whilst complying with all WH&S and legislative requirements.
* Manage ongoing maintenance works
* Support improvements when working with delivery partners, including implementing and managing contract quality and performance.
* Implement and monitor safety for projects including daily pre starts, site inductions, development of risk assessments, implementation of safe systems of work and onsite contractor management.
* Set out works tasks, interpret plans and calculate quantities of materials required.
* Coordinate work schedules in conjunction with the Supervisor Construction and implement works to agreed timeframes.

We're looking for people who have:

* Certificate IV in Civil Construction or equivalent knowledge and experience
* Certificate III in Water Operations and Civil Construction (Pipe Laying) or equivalent knowledge and experience
* Experience and knowledge in concreting
* Excellent communication in all forms
* Confidence and understanding of works to problem solve, make decisions with minimal Community impact
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
