Renal / General / Acute Care Physician/Specialist/Consultant — Fixed-term 5 years. We are seeking a Physician (Renal, General or Acute Care) to provide specialist care across hospital-based and remote community settings (60-bed hospital serving an area larger than Victoria).

The Role
* Provide high-quality inpatient and ambulatory care at the hospital and surrounding remote communities
* Participate in a flexible, negotiable roster including:
* 2 weeks inpatient ward coverage
* 2 weeks outpatient clinics and remote outreach
* Shared after-hours on-call responsibility
* Supervise and mentor a team of 5 junior doctors, including RACP Basic Trainees, Rural Generalist Trainees, and Interns
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists including ED FACEMs, Obstetricians, Psychiatrists, GPs, and Paediatricians
* Engage in teaching, simulation-based education, and professional development activities, supported by a state-of-the-art Simulation Lab
Essential Selection Criteria
* Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or an equivalent qualification in Renal and General Medicine. (RACP assessed as substantially comparable).
* Indigenous Health Commitment: demonstrated interest in and commitment to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
* Ongoing Professional Development: evidence of ongoing participation in continuing education, clinical teaching, research, and quality assurance initiatives.
* Cultural Competence: ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, particularly in a remote or regional healthcare setting.
