We are seeking a Workshop Supervisor to provide frontline leadership across our workshop, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently and to a high standard while developing team capability and driving performance.

About The Role
As Workshop Supervisor, you will lead day‐to‐day workshop operations, ensuring work is planned, executed and completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards. While overseeing work execution is a key component, the role extends beyond coordination to include people leadership, workforce planning, safety leadership and continuous improvement.
You will work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment between planning, labour availability and operational priorities, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency and quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and promote a strong Zero Harm safety culture across the workshop
* Oversee safe, efficient and high‐quality execution of all workshop work
* Manage Team Leaders and workforce performance, including conduct, attendance and wellbeing
* Drive work order management, labour efficiency and adherence to maintenance plans
* Ensure all work is completed in line with processes, procedures and quality standards
* Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actionsSupport workforce planning, labour allocation and shift coverage
* Execute training plans and support development of trades, apprentices and leaders
* Maintain clear daily communication on safety, priorities and work progress
* Monitor performance metrics including safety, quality, labour efficiency and work order compliance
* Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across workshop operations
About You:
You're a Leader Who
* Holds a trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or similar discipline
* Has previous supervisory or coordination experience within a workshop or maintenance environmentHas strong knowledge of maintenance work order systems and workshop operations
* Is confident managing people, performance and workplace matters
* Demonstrates strong safety leadership and commitment to compliance
* Communicates clearly and effectively across teams and stakeholders
* Applies sound judgement, problem solving and decision‐making skills
* Is highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Brings a team‐focused mindset with a drive for continuous improvement
Leadership training (e.g. Certificate IV in Leadership) and experience in heavy industry or mining environments will be highly regarded.
