This is a key leadership role in our healthcare organization, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Patient Support and Logistics services within a dynamic environment.
The Team Lead will play a vital part in promoting operational excellence, ensuring compliance with safety and infection control standards, and fostering a positive, accountable workplace culture focused on continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Leadership & People Management
o Supervise, mentor, and support Patient Support & Logistics staff
o Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and professionalism
o Set performance expectations, monitor outcomes, and manage performance concerns
* Operational Management
o Coordinate and oversee internal patient transport activities
o Ensure patient transfers are completed safely, efficiently, and with dignity
o Manage logistics including equipment movement, linen handling, and waste services
* Compliance, Auditing & Risk Management
o Conduct audits related to patient transport, logistics, and waste management
o Ensure compliance with infection control, WHS, and organizational policies
o Identify service risks or incidents and respond promptly
Requirements
* National Police Record Check
* Current Working with Children Check
* Compliance with immunization requirements for healthcare workers
* Valid Victorian Driver's Licence
* Ability to meet relevant professional registration requirements (where applicable)
