We are seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter to join our team in Ormeau, working on the electrical fitting, installation, and testing of our range of heavy truck vehicles. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in quality, and has strong experience in the heavy vehicle or manufacturing environment.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for electrical fitting and assembly work on heavy vehicles, ensuring all installations meet quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Electrical fitting, wiring, and installation on heavy vehicles and equipment
* Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and build drawings
* Installation and testing of lighting systems, control panels, sensors, and ancillary equipment
* Fault finding, diagnostics, and rectification of electrical issues
* Ensuring work is completed in line with Australian Standards and workplace safety requirements
* Working closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet build schedules
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Proven experience as an Electrical Fitter in the heavy vehicle, truck, trailer, or manufacturing industry
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* A strong safety mindset and ability to work in a production environment
* Trade qualification in Electrical Fitting, Automotive Electrical, or a related discipline (preferred) but not essential.
