Faith & Community Ministry Assistant – The Salvation Army Australia
Position located in Dingley Village, VIC. 1 opening, permanent part‐time 15 hours per week. Reporting to the Corps Officer‐Team Leader. Availability on Mondays required.
About the role
Support the delivery of the Salvation Army vision by managing people and resources that enable the Ministry to flourish. Lead and facilitate Corps and ministry programs and ensure compliance with TSA policies.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, facilitate and align ministries with mission goals, engaging participants and maintaining compliance.
* Recruit, train, record and support volunteers to ensure effective engagement.
* Coordinate major church events and assist with facility, vehicle bookings, Red Shield Appeal and Christmas collecting.
* Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community groups, schools, churches, municipalities and police, attending network meetings and liaising with partners.
* Represent Kingston City Salvos at schools for donations, certificates, host visits, and make vehicle deliveries as required.
What you will bring
* Experience in a Ministry position (desirable).
* Capacity to facilitate group and one‐to‐one sessions with a focus on engagement.
* Experience working with children, youth, families from diverse backgrounds and people living with disability.
* Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate within a team and community.
