Your career with us is our priority and we care about your journey from beginning to end.Position Overview:We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Senior Design Draftsperson to assist the Drafting Manager in guiding the drafting team through residential projects from concept through to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of architectural design, building codes, and construction techniques, with a proven ability to translate design concepts into detailed technical drawings and plans.This role will involve working closely with the Drafting Manager and construction team to ensure that all residential designs meet client specifications, regulatory requirements, and design standards.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for the creation of design drawings and construction documents for residential projects, including floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules.Review and ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.Work closely with Drafting Manager to oversee drafting tasks, providing guidance and support to junior draftspeople as needed.Coordinate with contractors and other team members during the construction phase to resolve any issues that arise.Maintain project documentation, ensuring all files are up to date and organized.Provide design input and make adjustments to plans as needed to meet client needs and project requirements.Manage multiple residential projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.Stay up-to-date with the latest drafting technologies and software, as well as architectural design trends and best practices.Manage the creation and maintenance of our Master Design suite.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience as a draftsperson, with a focus on residential design.High proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.Strong understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and construction methods.Experience working with architectural design teams to create and refine residential plans.Ability to interpret and create construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.A degree or diploma in Drafting, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.Knowledge of sustainable design principles, NDIS requirements, and green building practices is a plus.If you are a highly motivated individual with a passion for quality and a desire to work in a dynamic team setting, we encourage you to apply.We offer competitive salary and benefits packages, opportunities for career advancement, and a supportive work culture that embraces diversity and inclusivity.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionDesign and OtherIndustriesConstruction
