Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Job Description
We are seeking two enthusiastic and committed trade-qualified diesel mechanics for the servicing, repairs, and maintenance of our diverse fleet.
The positions will operate on a 7-day shift roster, working 12-hour shifts with DIDO option and provided accommodation for the right applicant.
* High-quality servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance of earthmoving equipment including dump trucks, graders, dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, rollers, compactors, and prime movers.
* Fault finding & diagnosis of machine faults including hydraulic and mechanical faults.
* In-field servicing, diagnostics, and repairs.
* Liaise with the Workshop Manager to manage & maintain service records, spare parts, scheduled servicing, and repairs.
* Comply with all workplace safety regulations, site policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality workmanship in the servicing, repairs, and maintenance of heavy machinery.
* Conduct thorough fault finding & diagnosis of machine faults.
* Perform in-field servicing, diagnostics, and repairs as required.
* Maintain accurate service records and liaise with the Workshop Manager.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant workplace safety regulations, site policies, and procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years' experience working on heavy machinery in a mining environment.
* Hold a high standard of work quality.
* Be highly organized and self-motivated with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and also within a team environment.
* Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen.
* HR License.
* Dual Trade (Auto Electrical) highly regarded.
* Industry-relevant qualifications (high-risk licenses).
