We are currently looking for a Casual CDP to join the kitchen team for the Winter Season at Horizons Lake Jindabyne. The role will start in June 2026, with weekly hours beginning at 24 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure consistently high-quality food production across all hotel kitchens, following standard recipes and portion control.
* Prepare and present all food items (hot dishes, sauces, pantry items, and special functions) to hotel standards with strong product knowledge.
* Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene, cleanliness, and WH&S compliance across all work areas and storage facilities.
* Monitor, requisition, and protect food products and kitchen equipment in line with hotel policies and procedures.
* Deliver timely completion of duties while maintaining professional grooming and positive teamwork.
* Attend scheduled meetings and perform additional duties as directed by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
What You'll Bring
* 1-2 years' worth of experience as a CDP in hotels, restaurants, or bistros.
* Experience across different sections including pans, grill and larder.
* Ability to train, guide and mentor junior staff.
* Attention to detail and maintaining product consistency and quality.
* Strong communication skills and a positive, can‐do attitude.
* Well‐presented with high standards of cleanliness.
* Ability to multitask and perform under pressure, while still delivering a high standard.
