Office attendance required 2 – 3 days per week.About the team: We have an opportunity for a Junior Lawyer to join the Litigation and Policy team at the Office of the Registrar General.
Reporting to a Managing Lawyer, the Junior Lawyer will join a friendly team environment to deliver a range of legal functions in the area of property law to support the Litigation and Policy team.
The right applicant will be a team player, take initiative and be willing to develop skills in new legal areas.ORG is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the NSW land title system.
It conducts litigation, prepares policy and legislative advice, regulates the concession of NSW land titles registry and oversees providers of electronic conveyancing services in NSW.The Litigation & Policy team conducts property-related litigation, provides legal and policy advice, and oversees policy and legislative development in the areas of property, land titling and eConveyancing law, including the Real Property Act 1900, the Conveyancing Act 1919 and strata legislation.
The team also conducts compliance examination audits of subscribers to the electronic conveyancing system.
