Job Summary
The Logistics Account Lead position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the overall contracted scope of work and deliverables are met for customers.
This role works closely with customers and Allyn logistics team management to establish standard processes and relevant metrics that improve customer service, reduce transport costs, and increase department productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate logistics operations and services with local team leaders
* Route cargo in compliance with legal, regulatory, and customer requirements
* Coordinate shipment routing, carrier selection, and documentation
* Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other client systems
* Track and trace shipments, update records, and proactively manage delays
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in business, supply chain, economics, management information systems, computer information systems, or similar field
* Minimum 2 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or transportation
* International logistics experience is required; transportation, customs, warehousing, supply chain principles, geographical considerations, political nuances of economic zones are essential
