The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) is the peak body for general insurance in Australia. Our purpose is simple and powerful: to be the voice for a resilient Australia.
We are seeking an experienced Change Communications Manager to join our Communications & Engagement team on a part-time, 8-month fixed term contract. This role will shape and deliver communication strategies that help our people, members, and stakeholders understand and navigate important organisational and industry change.
What you'll do
* Shape a pragmatic change communication approach that accounts for risk, sequencing, and stakeholder readiness — embedding change milestones, readiness activities and adoption strategies into the broader program and project plan rather than running them as a parallel workstream.
* Develop and implement clear, engaging communication strategies for organisational and transformation initiatives.
* Translate complex information into compelling narratives and practical messages.
* Produce high quality written and visual content (leader comms, FAQs, newsletters, intranet updates, presentations).
* Partner with project leads, executives, and subject matter experts to ensure alignment and effective delivery.
* Monitor engagement and sentiment to identify risks and opportunities and adjust messaging as needed.
About you
You'll bring:
* 5+ years' experience in change communications, internal communications, or strategic communications.
* A track record of successfully developing and advising on change communications strategies.
* Exceptional writing, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Experience working within financial services, banking or regulated environments is highly regarded, although not essential.
* Confidence engaging with senior leaders and managing sensitive or complex information.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast‐paced environment.
