We are seeking a Qualified Cook to join our hospitality team. The successful applicant will work closely with our Chef Manager and be responsible for preparing and cooking meals to meet residents' dietary needs in accordance with aged care standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare, cook and serve meals in line with dietitian-approved menus
* Cater to various dietary requirements including allergies, texture-modified, cultural, and religious preferences
* Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards are upheld at all times
* Support kitchen operations including stock rotation, ordering, and cleaning duties
* Collaborate with care staff to respond to individual resident preferences or health concerns
* Maintain compliance with aged care, WHS and food safety legislation

Essential Requirements:
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
* Minimum 2 years of full-time commercial cooking experience (post-qualification)
* Demonstrated ability to cook large-scale meals (50+ servings) in a regulated environment
* Knowledge of HACCP and food safety practices
* Ability to work in a team and independently
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
