The Role
The Senior Software Developer reports to the CTO and utilises their extensive expertise in Laravel and front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue), along with knowledge of AWS, to contribute to the development and maintenance of high-quality code for both front-end and back-end systems. This role is critical in ensuring the delivery of new functionalities, enhancements, and robust software solutions as part of the company's engineering team.

When and Where
This is a full-time remote role based anywhere in Australia.
Your Duties
* Collaboration: Work with development teams and product leads to plan, implement, and deliver new features and improvements.
* Software Development: Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and efficient code across both front-end and back-end systems.
* Continuous Integration and Deployment: Contribute to the company's CI/CD workflows, including participation in automated testing processes to ensure the stability and reliability of code deployments.
* Engineering Practices: Uphold and advocate for best practices in software engineering, including compliance with coding standards, security protocols, and quality assurance.
* Team Engagement: Actively participate in daily stand-ups, code reviews, and team discussions to foster a collaborative working environment and share knowledge with team members.
* Support: Provide support to the team in rare cases of high-profile events, urgent system incidents, or critical launches requiring your expertise.
* Testing and Validation: Develop and execute playwright and other test suite tests to validate functionality and ensure that all developed features meet required standards and expectations.
* Research and Development: Contribute to the research and development of new features, frameworks, or other tools that enhance customer and organisational experiences.
Skills and Experience

* 5+ years' experience with Laravel
* Experience with a front-end frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular)
* Strong knowledge of AWS
* Experience with Docker and CI/CD
* Exposure to automated testing and either TDD or BDD
* Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
* Comfortable working autonomously in a small, collaborative team
* Full working rights in Australia
* Experience with React Native
* Experience with Serverless
* Interest in continuous improvement and best engineering practices
* You have experienced taking your own side project from an idea to paying customer
