Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Recovery Support Worker to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with mental illness, providing non-clinical psychosocial support and assisting clients to achieve their identified goals and aspirations.
This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about helping others and has excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting clients through hospital discharge preparation to follow up recovery support at home
* Visiting clients in hospitals and supporting them to plan for their transition to the community
* Working alongside clients to achieve goals identified in their Personal Recovery Plans
* Actively collaborating with a range of internal and external stakeholders to support clients with skill development, capacity building and community connections
Requirements:
* A degree in a human services related field or less formal qualifications with substantial years of relevant experience
* Demonstrated previous experience working with people with mental illness
* A strong sense of professional boundaries and integrity
* Valid driver's licence and access to a registered roadworthy and insured vehicle
* Willingness and ability to undergo criminal history screening and obtain a valid NDIS worker screening clearance
