Overview
6-Month role responsible for process improvement and system optimisation. Partner closely with finance users and technical teams to improve processes. About Our Client: a large, complex organisation with a strong focus on governance, compliance and continuous improvement. The finance function supports stakeholders across the organisation by providing reliable systems, accurate data and robust financial controls.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert support for core finance applications, acting as the subject matter expert for assigned systems and modules
* Support daily, monthly and year-end finance processing to ensure reporting deadlines are met
* Maintain and configure finance systems, including chart of accounts, business units, workflows and user access
* Monitor and reconcile system interfaces between internal and external applications
* Respond to complex system and user issues, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors where required
* Ensure finance systems comply with internal policies, audit requirements and regulatory standards
* Develop and maintain high-quality system documentation, user guides and process materials
* Identify opportunities to improve system functionality, data accuracy and process efficiency
* Support finance system projects, including design, testing, implementation and post go-live support
Qualifications
* A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of core finance processes including General Ledger, AP, AR and Purchasing
* Hands-on experience supporting or managing large ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex data flows
* Experience producing clear, structured system and process documentation
