Senior Economist Role
As a senior economist, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our economic impact consultancy team. Your analytical expertise and commercial acumen will enable you to deliver high-quality consultancy projects with clarity of insight.
Our team is dedicated to providing unparalleled insights across various sectors, working closely with clients from private and public sectors. You will have access to a wide range of clients, including ASX 100 companies, governments, and emerging start-ups.
* Lead project design and delivery with analytical rigour;
* Design and conduct advanced economic impact assessments, cost-benefit analyses, and applied microeconomic research;
* Apply and oversee the use of economic techniques and quantitative tools across large datasets;
* Engage confidently with senior clients to translate economic findings into actionable insights;
* Contribute to and lead the development of consultancy proposals, reports, and presentations;
* Manage projects and coordinate inputs from cross-functional teams and stakeholders;
* Mentor junior economists, fostering their technical and professional development.
Requirements
We are seeking an individual with:
* Two to five years of experience in economic consulting, strategy consulting, state or federal government, policy advisory, or related roles;
* Undergraduate degree in economics, public policy, statistics, data science or finance with strong academic performance;
* Experience in applied economic or data analysis;
* Demonstrated ability to lead project design and delivery;
* Capacity to motivate teams and build relationships with clients, colleagues, and partners;
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
* Strong analytical, quantitative, and conceptual problem-solving skills.
