An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cricket Coach to join our team at TGS. As the First XI Cricket Coach, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our School's cricket program, working collaboratively with the Head of Cricket and a team of dedicated coaches.
In addition, the First XI Cricket Coach may be combined with a Teaching role. TGS teachers are passionate about boys' education and providing an inspiring and broad curriculum for all boys informed by best practice and evidence. **About TGS**
TGS was founded in 1875 and is a member school of the Great Public Schools Association of Queensland (GPS). It is an independent non-denominational day and boarding school for boys with a total enrolment of 1,200 from Preparatory to Year 12. There are approximately 300 boarders in the School coming predominantly from throughout Queensland, Northern New South Wales and the Northern Territory. The School's campus covers 20.5 hectares and is located one kilometre from the centre of Toowoomba.

**About the Position**
As the First XI Cricket Coach, you will lead the team and oversee all aspects of the cricket program, from player development and training to strategic planning and competition preparation. Your mentorship and guidance will foster a positive, competitive environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
TGS Teachers play a pivotal role in designing and delivering innovative teaching programs aligned with our learning philosophies. Your expertise will contribute to cultivate an environment that empowers students to become confident, independent thinkers. You will collaborate with a supportive academic team and engage with various stakeholders, including parents and fellow educators.
**Selection Criteria**:
As First XI Cricket Coach, you will be able to demonstrate your experience and commitment to:
- **Coaching Expertise**: Demonstrate a current coaching accreditation and possess an in-depth passion for cricket.
- **Program Management**: Detail your experience in program management, including coordinating personnel associated with cricket teams. Discuss your ability to liaise with relevant stakeholders to achieve program goals, manage equipment, and oversee training schedules. Provide examples of how you have contributed to the development and improvement of a cricket program and your role in organising pre-season matches and events.
- **Player Development and Strategy**: Illustrate your expertise in player development and strategic planning within a cricket context. Describe how you have created and implemented coaching methodologies, goals, and plans for a cricket team. Outline your approach to talent identification, promotion, and progression, and provide examples of how you have improved individual players' skills and performance.
- **Event and Tour Management**: Detail your experience in planning, preparing, and managing cricket tours and events. Discuss your involvement in organising matches, festivals, and other cricket-related activities. Highlight instances where you have successfully managed logistics, travel arrangements, and match day coordination for volleyball events.
As Teacher you will be able to demonstrate your ability and commitment to:
- **Teaching Expertise**: Demonstrated proficiency in designing and delivering innovative teaching programs aligned with Queensland and Australian curriculums. A deep understanding of effective pedagogical practices and the ability to tailor teaching methods to diverse learning styles and student needs.
