Administration/Office Assistant - Child Care Centre
We are seeking a highly motivated and inspiring Administration/Office Assistant team member who is passionate about children and their development. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our Centre Management and make a positive impact on our families and the community.
About the Role
As our Administration/Office Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for families and visitors. You will provide essential administrative support to ensure the centre runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Centre Director with administrative tasks
* Being the first point of contact for all families and visitors, managing phone calls, emails, and general enquiries
* Support compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements
* Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
* Conducting tours of the centre for potential families
* Processing enrolments and managing administration duties
* Strong knowledge in CCS
* Working with CCS Software (OWNA)
* Managing debt and family accounts
* Assisting with social media marketing
About You
* 2 years’ experience in an administrative role within a childcare or community care setting (sector experience is highly regarded)
* System and ability to perform software application for compliance Excellent communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills
* Self-motivated and disciplined
* High level of presentation and professionalism, including phone mannerisms
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage time, including multitasking while working in a fast paced environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
* A positive, team-oriented attitude with ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
* Cert III in Early Childhood a bonus
Essential Requirements
* Valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certification (or willingness to obtain)
* Demonstrated knowledge of the Child Care Subsidy System and ability to perform software application for compliance (OWNA)
