Job Description
Process and review invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Maintain and update vendor records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Monitor and manage payment schedules to meet deadlines.
Prepare financial reports and support month-end closing activities.
Collaborate with internal departments to address payment-related queries.
Ensure compliance with relevant public sector regulations and guidelines.
Assist in the implementation of process improvements within the accounts payable function.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Payable Officer should have:
A qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Robust experience in accounts payable processes within the public sector.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial records.
Excellent communication skills for liaising with vendors and internal teams.
Problem-solving skills to resolve payment and reconciliation issues efficiently.
