System Administrator Location: Canberra Industry: Defence and National Security
Vertical Scope Group are continuing to grow our Professional Services Division, and are looking for Expert, Trusted and Reputable individuals to work within our high performing, high calibre team.
We want to secure highly skilled TS PV System Administrator to work with us on our multi-year, multi-million-dollar engagement supporting a large ICT Organisational Uplift within the National Intelligence Community.
About you:
Strong working experience in Linux based ICT infrastructure (physical and cloud managed) including servers, storage and network devicesStrong Splunk and Grafana experience Strong Ruby programming experience Familiarity with multiple CDS devicesExperience in stakeholder engagement Previous experience within the Australian Intelligence Community (AIC)Canberra based Must hold a TS PV security clearance
About the role:
Develop solutions to enable secure interoperability between systems with different security classification while maintaining information integrity and confidentialityResearch and integrate advanced security appliances such as CDS, automated security mechanisms and security protocolsImplement access controls, data segregation mechanisms, and boundary protections that adhere to cybersecurity guidelines and best practicesPerform integration testing of CDS systems to validate security features, interoperability and functionalityavailability and efficiency whilst meeting security requirementsUse of automation tools such as Puppet and Ansible to prepare and replicate system buildsGenerates reports and dashboards to demonstrate system’s availability in multi-geographical continuous monitoring through use of application management software identify vulnerabilities and design corrective solutions through use of YAML and Python scriptingValidates existing system maintenance procedures and develops and implements additional system procedures to improve system reliabilityMonitor system performance post-implementation to ensure ongoing operational through use of Splunk and GrafanaEngage cross-functional teams to commission and manage CDS systems in existing platformsProvide technical guidance to team members and relevant stakeholders on regular basis
