An exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead plumbing and hydraulic works across diverse commercial and government projects. With contract values ranging from $1M to over $20M, this role offers the chance to manage end-to-end delivery in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
Your new role
* Lead project lifecycle from tender submission through to final completion, ensuring alignment with client expectations and business goals.
* Engage in Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) to optimise design and delivery strategies.
* Collaborate closely with the Director and Estimator to review tender costings and identify value engineering opportunities.
* Upon contract award, develop detailed project programs, including critical milestones and delivery targets.
* Drive project execution during construction phase, attending weekly coordination meetings with clients and principal contractors.
* Serve as the escalation point for Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
* Manage and track project variations, updating schedules and budgets accordingly.
* Monitor cost performance, identify delivery risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain profitability.
* Partner with Site Managers to ensure Quality Assurance (QA) documentation is completed and submitted in line with project specifications and compliance standards.
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience managing hydraulic and civil infrastructure projects, ideally within commercial plumbing or building services.
* Strong background in Civil Engineering or Plumbing.
* Demonstrated success working with Tier 2 commercial contractors and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
* Skilled in project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project), cost tracking, and risk management.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and drive team performance.
* Familiarity with compliance frameworks, QA/QC processes, and construction documentation standards.
