Senior UX Designer
Charterhosue Partnership are working with a government agency looking to hire an experienced UX Designer for a short-term contract commencing February
This role focuses on improving the user experience of eligibility-related digital content, ensuring information is clear, accessible, and designed around genuine user needs. You will play a key advisory role, working closely with delivery teams and subject matter experts to influence and implement UX-led improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and analyse existing research to make evidence-based UX recommendations
* Improve the user experience of website sections delivering eligibility content
* Provide advice on whether further user testing is required and how it should be conducted
* Design and implement a new information architecture with a strong user-centred approach
* Guide copywriters and content professionals on UX best practice
* Collaborate with ICT teams, delivery partners, and technical specialists to implement changes
* Advocate for UX recommendations with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts
About You
* Proven experience as a Senior UX Designer working on complex digital products or services
* Strong background in research-led design and information architecture
* Confidence advising stakeholders and influencing design outcomes
* Experience working in large, multi-disciplinary delivery environments (government experience highly regarded)
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Experience working in a government agency is a bonus
Contract Details
* Contract duration: February to June 2026
* Hybrid working model: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home - additional flexibility if required
* Full-time hours with flexibility available
