What is the Opportunity?
As Design Manager, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and managing all design activities to ensure efficient, cost-effective project delivery. You'll collaborate with design consultants to establish, agree, and document requirements and solutions, while supporting construction compliance within the agreed design.
In this role, you will;
* Lead and manage the design process from concept through to construction and project completion.
* Develop and maintain design briefs and client deliverables, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards, statutory requirements, and the Building Code of Australia.
* Collaborate with consultants and stakeholders to deliver innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective design solutions that meet project objectives.
* Oversee safety in design, sustainability targets (e.g., Green Star/NABERS), and ensure buildability and quality expectations are achievable.
* Manage design budgets, timelines, and scope changes while supporting tenders, ECI, and value engineering initiatives.
* Coordinate design documentation, approvals, and reporting, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project milestones.
