Responsibilities
* In collaboration with the leadership team develop and monitor new visitor experiences and events.
* Coordinate and scope new community engagement activities and function bookings.
* Develop, implement and monitor a communication plan to maximise reach and grow positive public relations.
* Manage the Park's multimedia, including film and image library, web presence and social media.
* Provide strategic advice to the leadership team on media opportunities and issues.
* Liaise with clients, businesses, local tourism operators and other strategic partners; organise and conduct familiarisations and client appointments, ensure client satisfaction while contributing to revenue.
* Develop, produce and distribute promotional collateral, and implement all advertising and promotional activities.
* Collaborate with Friends of the Desert Park regarding commercial activities and funding submissions.
* Operate within a strong safety culture and implement Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures while delivering Commission services.
Selection criteria
Essential
* Demonstrated high level of initiative, motivation and commitment to achieving commercial objectives.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to liaise collaboratively and sensitively.
* High-level organisational, negotiation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Knowledge and understanding of a commercial tourism business or conservation facility.
* Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive relationships with stakeholders, to respond to changing client needs and expectations and provide proactive, client-focused work.
* Ability to manage social media or audio-visual content.
Desirable
* Hold a current Northern Territory Drivers licence.
* Basic proficiency in graphic design.
