Role
As a CBRE Shift Data Center Technician you will maintain the operational integrity of critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities include preventative and corrective maintenance of mechanical & electrical systems in a data centre environment.
What You'll Do
Conduct daily inspections of mechanical & electrical systems
Ensure safe and efficient work environment
Respond to BMS alarms and perform emergency repairs
Collaborate with third-party vendors for compliance
Notify management of subcontractor performance issues
Execute planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance
Monitor BMS for running and alarm conditions, addressing HVAC issues
Perform building walkthroughs and meter readings (UPS, PDUs, utilities)
Address facility faults with effective solutions
Maintain comprehensive maintenance records and conduct quality checks
Complete required training and follow safety protocols
Apply existing procedures to solve straightforward problems
What You'll Need
Minimum Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or ARC Licence
Australian citizenship – NV1 vetting clearance
2-4 years of relevant experience; apprenticeship or equivalent
Shift capability, including weekends and holidays
Strong communication and organizational skills
Basic math skills (percentages, discounts)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to maintain high accuracy and precision
Familiarity with maintenance practices including electrical, painting, and tools
