Caregiver Role Summary
This role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals who require support with daily living activities.
* As a caregiver, you will work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and preferences, providing personalized support to enhance their quality of life.
* You will be responsible for assisting clients with daily tasks, such as meal preparation, household chores, and personal care.
* In addition to these core responsibilities, you may also be involved in providing emotional support, companionship, and assistance with transportation and other errands.
* To excel in this role, you will need strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy, as well as the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
To succeed as a caregiver, you will need:
* A minimum Certificate III in Individual Care or equivalent qualification.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to work flexibly and respond to changing circumstances.
* A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting clients' privacy.
* Current National Police Check and First Aid & CPR certificates.
* Endorsement to administer medication (desirable).
