About the opportunity
You will be a fundamental member of the Brighton Homes Drafting and Product Development Manager team and report to the Operations Manager. The key focus of this role is to provide strategic and hands on leadership across the drafting and product development teams, overseeing new product initiatives and the display home program to deliver industry leading design outcomes. More specifically, you will:
* Oversee and manage high volume drafting workflow across production and sales drafting, display design development and future product development
* Lead and oversee a large drafting team, providing coaching, training and development
* Drive continuous improvement by reviewing and streamlining process to improve efficiency, quality and delivery outcomes.
* Collaborate with the Operations Manager to support recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning for current and future drafting needs.
* Prepare and present accurate project, workload, and forecasting reports to keep stakeholders aligned and informed.
About you
You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will have:
* Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop team to drive continuous improvement
* Strong background in Residential drafting and design, ideally within a volume construction or project home setting.
* Strong industry knowledge, including codes and regulations
* Confident communicator able to effectively collaborate with other departments
* Positive, solutions focused mindset with the ability to proactively resolve challenges and drive outcomes.
* Proficiency with ArchiCAD, or the ability to quickly leverage your technical background to adapt to new design systems
