Job Title: Child Protection Specialist
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Child Protection Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for assessing safety and risk concerns for children and young people within a multi-disciplinary service model.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough assessments to identify and address safety and risk concerns for children and young people
* Engage in collaborative practice that acknowledges and respects the culture and context of each child, young person, and their carers/family
* Source timely, accurate, and comprehensive information to inform evidence-based decisions
* Build relationships with stakeholders to promote meaningful change in families and improve outcomes for children and young people
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' frontline experience in statutory child protection services or within statutory investigation services
* Preferred completed or in the final semester of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science, and Welfare, along with practical experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to build positive working relationships
* A valid driver's license (P1 or above) and paid working with children clearance number
