Your Opportunity

We have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity to join the Marketing and Communications team at TAFE Queensland SkillsTech, based at the Acacia Ridge campus.

As the Marketing and Communications Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping clear, consistent and engaging communication that strengthens SkillsTech's brand and supports organisational priorities. You will contribute to the promotion and positioning of SkillsTech by supporting the planning, delivery and evaluation of marketing, communications and engagement activities aligned to organisational objectives and the SkillsTech Marketing and Communications Plan.

Central to this role is the ability to work confidently and professionally with senior stakeholders, including Directors, the Department and Ministerial offices. You will support the provision of accurate, timely and well‐considered communication that aligns with organisational expectations, and assist with briefings, information requests, student talent sourcing and delegate visits as required.

The role supports student recruitment, employer engagement and broader organisational outcomes through the delivery of marketing and communications activities across campaigns, content development, digital channels, events and stakeholder engagement. You will work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to translating complex information into accessible and engaging content for diverse audiences and platforms.

This position reports to the Business Development and Marketing Manager and is primarily based at the Acacia Ridge campus. You may also be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses from time to time.

Key Responsibilities

* Contribute to the success of cultural change within the organisation through promoting and modelling SkillsTech's core values and Agreed Behaviours and the established TAFE Queensland values of Working Together, Focussing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility, Showing Initiative, and Safety First.
* Support the planning and delivery of strategic, operational, regional and team‐based marketing and communication initiatives aligned to organisational priorities and budget requirements.
* Contribute to campaign development, execution and promotion of programmes, services, events and stakeholder engagement activities across multiple channels.
* Develop, write, edit and coordinate clear, accurate and engaging marketing and communication content for internal and external audiences, ensuring consistency of messaging.
* Prepare, distribute and manage marketing and communication materials across digital and traditional platforms, in line with brand guidelines and organisational standards.
* Support the maintenance, improvement and effective use of digital channels, including website, social media, email marketing, automation and audience engagement.
* Collaborate with Directors and internal stakeholders to gather information and translate it into customer‐focused messaging, contributing to key messaging frameworks and media readiness activities.
* Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the Department, industry partners, employers, suppliers and state‐wide marketing networks.
* Implement coordinated marketing and business‐to‐business (B2B) strategies to support employer engagement and a consistent organisational approach to marketing.
* Support marketing‐related lead capture, enquiries, follow‐up processes and information requests, including assistance with ministerial, departmental and delegate engagement activities.
* Apply effective project, administrative and reporting processes to manage priorities, budgets, records and assets, and contribute to monitoring, evaluation and continuous improvement of marketing activities.

Additional (Advantageous) Requirements

* Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial
* Qualifications in marketing, communications, digital media or related discipline
* Experience in Marketing, Communications or Events Management
* Strong understanding of the VET sector
