Motor Mechanic – Full Time
Position vacant at HK Cabs Pty Ltd ATF Happy Family Trust Hap, ABN: 62 598 316 022, 83 Hanson Road, Gladstone Central, Qld-4680. Minimum 38 hours a week.
Job Description
* Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups to achieve smoother running of vehicles.
* Repair, replace worn and defective parts and reassemble mechanical components, referring to service manuals as needed.
* Detect and diagnose faults in engines and parts with the assistance of computers.
* Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and check parts.
* Check and repair suspensions, brakes and wheel alignments of automotive vehicles.
* Reassemble engines and parts following repair.
* Manage stock reordering and inventory as directed, placing stock (e.g., brakes, spark plugs, oil filters) in proper places.
* Maintain and manage tools, equipment and machinery in good condition.
* Deliver outstanding customer service at all times, ensuring a professional and polite manner when communicating with customers.
* Adhere fully to regulations relating to pollution and health and safety at all times.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment by ensuring the correct operation of all tools and specialised equipment.
* Coordinate with other mechanics as teamwork is needed.
Applicant Must Have
* Completed at least Cert‐III in automotive and a minimum of 1 year of full‐time work experience as a motor mechanic. Experience in servicing electric and hybrid vehicles is desirable.
* Must hold a current driver's licence.
* A desire to achieve results.
Annual salary (depending on experience/skills) between $77,000 – $80,000 plus superannuation.
