Band 5 Role - Salary from $145,000 + Super
final salary offering to be discussed with the preferred candidate based on skills and experience
Are you a relationship‑builder with a passion for working alongside communities to shape the future of critical infrastructure? Do you thrive at the intersection of people, land, and major project delivery? If so, TasNetworks wants to hear from you.
About the role
We're seeking an engaging, proactive Landholder Engagement Partner to drive land access and engagement activities across some of the most significant transmission and distribution projects in the region, including the North West Transmission Developments (NWTD). This is your opportunity to play a central role in projects that will strengthen the grid, support renewable energy growth, and deliver long‑term benefits for communities.
As our Landholder Engagement Partner, you will lead the planning, coordination and execution of landholder engagement activities using contemporary project methodologies. You will ensure all work is delivered to the highest standards of quality, scope, budget, risk and time.
You will support the implementation of TasNetworks' Land Access and Acquisition Strategy and Land and Easement Acquisition Strategy, playing a crucial role in major capital projects—including the NWTD during the project construction period—and ensuring we work collaboratively, transparently and respectfully with landholders, consultants, agencies and internal teams.
The role includes provision of a fit‑for‑purpose vehicle fitted with TasNetworks' standard telematics technology, ensuring safe and reliable travel into required regions of the state for landowner engagement. While commuter use is supported for efficient travel, personal use of the vehicle is not included.
About you
First and foremost, as this is a relationship‑centric role, your ability to communicate clearly, navigate complex issues and build trust is key to the success of the role.
You will bring extensive (10+ years) experience – ideally in government or utilities, working in landholder engagement and managing specialist consultancies. You are confident coordinating projects involving land access and easement rights for major transmission infrastructure, and you have solid experience in project management.
You understand Commonwealth and State planning and heritage legislation and are familiar with the Australian energy sector, including the National Energy Market and transmission regulatory requirements. Experience in renewable energy or major linear infrastructure is a strong advantage.
You are skilled at building rapport, influencing others and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. You work well in fast‑paced environments, showing resilience, self‑awareness and accountability.
What's on offer
This is a permanent full‑time opportunity based out of either Burnie, Devonport or Rocherlea, offering an attractive remuneration and benefits package.
At TasNetworks we want to power a bright future for our people, our community and our customers. We offer a supportive work environment where safety is at the heart of everything we do.
