The Job
This rewarding casual role offers work-life balance, flexibility, and career growth opportunities. We have casual positions available in Bunbury. Shifts are Monday to Friday, with additional opportunities for evenings and Saturdays. This position is ideal for someone seeking flexible, as‐needed work.
You'll support participants with diverse abilities, helping them develop new skills, engage in community activities, and build meaningful relationships. Each day is unique – you might assist someone in going to the gym, participating in group activities, learning public transport, cooking a meal, preparing for a job interview, or getting ready for the day ahead. It's all about what they want to achieve.
Our Lifeskills program aims to
Assist participants to develop life skills in the wider community by building independence skills with day‐to‐day tasks (e.g., cooking, daily living supports)
Assist participants to develop skills to prepare for independent living (money handling, budgeting, transport training, volunteering)
Assist participants to access activities that will help them maintain their health and wellbeing (bowling, mini golf, swimming, art classes)
Assist participants to achieve their goal of customised employment which involves helping people with disabilities get a job
About You
* Passionate about helping others
* Able to work autonomously and with varied support needs
* Capable of performing low‐level personal care
* Moderately fit and adaptable to changing demands
* Efficient in completing records and reports
* Available to work minimum three (3) days or more per week
Requirements
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Working with Children Check
* Valid National Police Clearance (within 3 months)
* Provide First Aid Certificate
* Right to work in Australia
* Valid WA driver's licence
* Roadworthy, registered, and comprehensively insured vehicle (kms reimbursed)
* Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent (desirable)
* Previous experience supporting people with disabilities (desirable)
* Experience in working with people with Dementia (including younger onset Dementia) (desirable)
* Completed training in dementia (desirable)
* Completed training in Epilepsy Management (desirable)
