Description About the Role 1 year fixed term contract (extensions dependent on funding) Hybrid flexible working A diverse and inclusive workplace that values and respects all staff The Research Coordinator at the National Vision Research Institute (NVRI), will play a key role in supporting a portfolio of research projects conducted within a collaborative and multidisciplinary team. This newly created role is responsible for coordinating a range of research activities, with a strong emphasis on data collection and project management. Reporting to the Director of Research and Education, and working closely with the research and clinical services teams, the Research Coordinator will facilitate the effective implementation and communication of the ACO's research objectives across the organisation. Accountabilities Support research design, protocols and mixed-methods data collection. Monitor project timelines, milestones and deliverables, escalating delays or impending risks. Assist in the collection and management of clinical data in compliance with research protocols. Contribute to high quality reports, presentations, publications and grant applications, adhering to ethical standards and relevant guidelines. Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to support the integration of research activities into clinical workflows. Skills And Experiences About you Your work will directly impact the health and wellbeing of some of our most vulnerable communities. It is essential you are a natural communicator with the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders. You will work closely with subject matter experts and have the skills and ability to prioritise effectively when managing multiple projects. Skills and Knowledge Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to shape key messages. Proven experience managing research and /or projects. Proficient computer literacy and technology skills including MS Office. Well-developed organisational and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster working relationships at all levels. Ability to work as part of a team whilst managing individual workload. Essential Criteria A degree in science or a Masters in Public Health (or equivalent). Motivated to serve the community, and in particular, people experiencing disadvantage. Desired Criteria Experience in working for a not for profit or public health organisation will be well regarded. Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
