Natural Areas Operations Officer (2 positions)
Blue Mountains City Council – Katoomba NSW
To participate in a team to implement Council's Natural Area Management Programs for the restoration of Bushland areas, delivering a range of environmental works. The daily work activities required of a team member include Bush Regeneration, Walking Tracks, Seasonal Weed Control and Bushcare Support.
The ideal candidate will have the following: TAFE Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management or equivalent, AQF3 chemical accreditation. A Minimum of 12 months industry experience in chemical application, weed control and bush regeneration. Demonstrated ability to identify local native plant and weed species, proven written and oral communication skills and a Class C Driver's Licence.
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $61,197 gross per annum
+ 12% superannuation
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary
+ annual award increase
