About the Role 
We are currently representing our client in recruiting for a casual Operations Infrastructure Coordinator role with full-time hours, available immediately until December 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in civil engineering or infrastructure maintenance to lead key projects that support community needs and infrastructure resilience. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining public spaces and ensuring service excellence across the organisation. 
Key Responsibilities 
- Lead and coordinate services related to roads, drainage, and public spaces, ensuring safety and high standards are maintained.
- Support and oversee infrastructure projects within the operations team, providing technical and strategic expertise.
- Plan and implement maintenance programmes that meet community expectations and local council standards.
- Effectively manage resources to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Create a positive team environment by supporting staff development and fostering high performance.
- Promote a robust safety culture by ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Engage transparently with the community and stakeholders, fostering shared ownership of outcomes.
- Prepare and manage reports, budgets, and strategic plans to assist decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends and issues to adapt services proactively and maintain community relevance.
About You 
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with significant experience in roads and drainage maintenance.
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, managing service delivery projects effectively.
- Strong knowledge of local council policies, Australian standards, and relevant legislation.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and budget management skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to motivate teams and liaise with stakeholders.
- Understanding of environmental sustainability and a commitment to health and safety protocols.
- Sound decision-making skills, with the ability to resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
- A valid driver’s licence (up to 4.5 tonnes GCM).
- Desirable: experience working within local government or the public sector, plus a project management qualification.
