Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ICT Procurement Specialist to join our team. This role will involve leading and managing high-value procurements that enable critical technology delivery across the organisation.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in Australian Government procurement, preferably in ICT, and a strong understanding of the PGPA Act, Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), and associated frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a range of ICT procurement and contract activities, including complex engagements.
* Lead end-to-end procurement processes—market approach, evaluation, negotiation, and contract finalisation.
* Provide strategic procurement advice across the Information Services Division.
* Identify and mitigate procurement risks while maximising value and compliance.
* Guide stakeholders through procurement documentation and governance requirements.
* Use DTA sourcing portals for ICT goods/services, including labour hire and software.
* Support mailbox management and ensure accurate recordkeeping of all procurement activities.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in Australian Government procurement, preferably in ICT.
* Strong understanding of the PGPA Act, Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), and associated frameworks.
* Familiarity with DTA procurement portals and processes.
* Proven ability to manage complex tenders and provide accurate, high-level procurement advice.
* Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a changing environment with minimal supervision.
* Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting or higher.
* Experience in end-to-end contract management, from sourcing to renewals and close-outs.
* Understanding of ICT vendor markets and ability to assess strategic sourcing options.
