Our Sustainable Transport and Open Spaces Team is seeking a Senior Sustainable Transport Officer to help plan and deliver walking, cycling and place-based transport outcomes across the city.

Purpose
The Sustainable Transport Officer leads the development and delivery of sustainable and active transport initiatives, including cycling projects, grant-funded programs and active transport strategy implementation, ensuring outcomes align with Council's transport, urban design and sustainability objectives.
About The Role
In this role you will:
* Lead and manage the delivery of sustainable and active transport projects, including engagement of consultants for concept and detailed design, within agreed budgets and timeframes
* Prepare high-quality Council reports, funding submissions, study briefs, presentations and correspondence for internal and external stakeholders
* Coordinate grant-funded programs and government funding opportunities supporting walking, cycling and sustainable transport outcomes
About You
We are looking for an experienced professional who brings leadership, confidence and strong design thinking. You will demonstrate:
* Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture, Urban / Town Planning, Engineering (Traffic / Transport), or extensive equivalent experience
* Proven experience delivering complex transport or public domain projects, balancing urban design quality, sustainability outcomes and competing priorities
* Strong skills in project management, consultant coordination, report writing, funding submissions and presentations, with the confidence to lead projects and support junior staff
