About the Role
The Parliamentary and Cabinet Administration Officer is responsible for managing and coordinating Parliamentary and Cabinet processes for the Office of the Minister. This involves providing a comprehensive support service to the Minister, including coordination of Parliamentary Briefing Notes, monitoring and processing of Hansard and House of Assembly/Legislative Council Business relevant to the Minister's portfolios.
This role also facilitates the successful progression of the Minister's Cabinet papers by liaising with agency contacts to ensure information is received in a timely manner. Additionally, the officer provides information and advice to the Minister, Chief of Staff and Ministerial Advisers regarding Parliamentary and Cabinet processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and coordinate Parliamentary and Cabinet processes for the Office of the Minister
* Provide a comprehensive support service to the Minister, including coordination of Parliamentary Briefing Notes
* Monitor and process Hansard and House of Assembly/Legislative Council Business relevant to the Minister's portfolios
* Liaise with agency contacts to ensure information is received in a timely manner
* Provide information and advice to the Minister, Chief of Staff and Ministerial Advisers regarding Parliamentary and Cabinet processes
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience in Parliamentary and Cabinet administration, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills. You must be able to demonstrate sound knowledge in Parliamentary, Cabinet and Executive Council processes, and be able to deliver precise, timely information within politically sensitive environments.
You will also need to have experience in managing records and leveraging digital systems to efficiently coordinate, retrieve, and track critical data, supporting operational excellence and accountability. In addition, you will need to have experience in providing high level executive and/or administrative support and advice, including processing, co-ordinating and drafting sensitive, complex and urgent material within strict time-frames and required outcomes.
