Your Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable leader to manage the Accounts Payable function of the business, ensuring invoices are processed and approved on time in order to ensure vendors are paid in accordance with approved payment terms.
Reporting to the CFO and working in a tight nit collaborative Finance team, the role will drive strategic initiatives towards Accounts, championing change management with a view to deliver enhanced efficiencies in the Procure to Pay process and systems.
About The Role
Full management of all areas of the Accounts payable processManage and mentor AP Officer in the team Audit and assess corporate procedures with respect to the Accounts Payable Procedures with the intent to improve efficienciesLead the Accounts Payable division towards strategic initiatives developed by the CFO within Accounts PayablePrimary responsibility for developing and implementing strategies to optimize process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to streamline operations and reporting of the payables cycleEnsure all reporting is conducted in a timely, accurate and reliable mannerResolve issues arising from accounts payable and responding to and resolving enquiries in a timely and effective mannerLiaise with site on invoices and authorizationProvide advice and recommendations to the CFO (as well as other members of the Company’s senior management team) to ensure best practice in the accounts payable and procurement life cycles
About You
To Be Successful, You Will Have the Following
At least 5 years+ experience in a Senior or Lead Accounts Payable roleExperience working with ERP systemsCivil / Construction / Resources experience - An advantageDemonstrated experience in process improvement, process mapping and change management within a payables functionHighly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in team leadership and performance development
