Job Role Summary
The Library Officer is responsible for the effective management of the College Library and its resources, working closely with the College Librarian to ensure seamless operations.
Main Responsibilities:
* Cataloging and shelving books on a daily basis.
* Providing exceptional customer service to students and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
* Developing programs to promote literacy and reading among students, enhancing their academic experience.
* Collaborating with teachers to integrate library services into curriculum planning, fostering a culture of learning.
* Maintaining accurate records of library transactions and reporting statistics as required, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Holding a valid Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
* Being eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
* Demonstrating a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
* Completing requisite Working With Children (WWC) pre-employment screening, in accordance with legislation, prior to appointment.
