Focus Scaffold is growing fast and we're on the lookout for an experienced Leading Hand.
About the Role
As a Leading Hand, you will be responsible for running prestart meetings, coordinating scaffolders and contractors, and ensuring daily operations progress efficiently.
You will oversee compliant erection and dismantling of scaffolding in line with plans, WHS requirements, and company procedures, ensuring all work is completed to standard.
Your Responsibilities
Erect and dismantle scaffold safely and as per plans
Lead your crew and run daily toolbox/prestart meetings
Coordinate scaffolders, materials and site activities
Keep paperwork and dockets accurate and handed in daily
Identify hazards and escalate issues when needed
Ensure pallets are stacked, strapped and ready for transport
Maintain correct signage and compliance at all times
Follow all company safety procedures and SWMS
Work from complex instructions and deliver quality work
What We're Looking For
White Card
Intermediate or Advanced Scaffolding tickets
Minimum 2+ years scaffolding experience
Leading Hand Experience
Able to read scopes and work from plans
Ability to produce material lists based of plans and site requirements
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to meet production hour targets
Solid safety knowledge and OH&S understanding
Ability to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding of all levels
