What's the role?
As our Manager, Business Controls & Monitoring, you'll be a trusted advisor on risk and compliance for our Customer & Business Assist team.
This role helps guide decisions that protect our customers and business by designing, implementing and testing practical controls and helping teams understand risk in everyday operations.
You'll embed a culture of integrity, support change initiatives, and build trust across the organisation while keeping risk management relevant, simple and fit for purpose.
This is a Permanent full-time role based in Adelaide with flexible working arrangements.
What do I need?
We're looking for someone who brings thoughtful challenge, practical advice, and a strong sense of accountability. You'll thrive here if you have:
* Previous experience within a risk management role in either Line 1 or Line 2 Risk, ideally within banking or financial services
* Confidence advising on risk management, incidents, controls, issues, remediation and regulatory obligations in a way that's clear and actionable
* Demonstrated experience providing timely risk insights and reporting to senior leadership
* Experience supporting change initiatives by identifying and mitigating associated risk
* The ability to drive continuous improvement and lean thinking across risk practices
* The ability to build trust and influence leadership on risk and compliance matters, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements
