Job Description:
This role involves managing project schedules to ensure timely delivery of construction documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural and engineering plan review.
The Pre-Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the A&E drawing process, including redline reviews and bid set evaluations for new builds, remodels, expansions, takeovers, and special projects.
The successful candidate will coordinate and lead on-site pre-construction walkthroughs with Store Development, Sales, and Operations teams. They will also provide architects with plan due dates, walkthrough schedules, and distribution timelines.
A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 3 years' experience in retail store development, architecture, or engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage project schedules with a focus on consistency, accuracy, and timely delivery of construction documents.
* Monitor the A&E drawing process, including redline reviews and bid set evaluations for new builds, remodels, expansions, takeovers, and special projects.
* Provide architects with plan due dates, walkthrough schedules, and distribution timelines.
* Coordinate and lead on-site pre-construction walkthroughs with Store Development, Sales, and Operations teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
A strong understanding of architectural design, engineering systems, and construction methods and materials is required. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office Suite is also essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary, as well as strong leadership, analytical, and presentation abilities.
